It is time for sleeping masks (also called sleeping packs). A few months ago I came across these little wonder products and knew that I had to try a few. I was a little skeptical at first and didn’t understand why a regular moisturizer wouldn’t be enough. Now I know and I can’t imagine a skin care routine without them. Sometimes a regular cream isn’t rich enough, especially during winter when the cold air dries out your skin. Sleeping masks can be a great addition to your skin care routine. They provide additional moisture and help refresh your skin. They should be applied as the last step of your skincare routine before going to bed. Sleeping masks also promise to have all sorts of other effects on your skin; from brightening to reducing wrinkles. The Holika Holika Wine Therapy Sleeping Masks Red Wine is a anti aging mask, comes in a 120ml plastic jar and claims to make your skin smooth and resilient. Let’s have a look at the ingredients.

I don’t really like that it contains alcohol and fragrance. However, it did not dry out or irritate my skin. As soon as I use a Western product containing alcohol (especially toners) my skin gets really dry but it isn’t the case when it comes to Korean products. Let’s hope that this doesn’t change. However, I like that there are many natural and non-irritating ingredients in this sleeping pack.
What I really love about this product is the packaging. That is the reason why I wanted to buy it in the first place. It is so pretty, looking like a real wine barrel. How awesome is that? I was always a little worried that cutely packaged products aren’t very effective but I find that it is not the case with Korean and Japanese products. The sleeping pack also comes with a small cosmetic spatula. Another thing that I really like about this product is its texture. It is very jelly like and gets a little more liquid once you massage it onto your face. It smells very sweet- like fruits and it is a bit sticky at first but it is very light and gets absorbed completely. I like things that are different and Korean beauty products always surprise me. I always pay around 9.59$ when I order it on Beautynetkorea. At Jolse you can get it for 9.77$ and on Roseroseshop for 8.90$. These are the shops where I usually buy my Korean beauty products, preferably on Jolse and Beautynetkorea because they offer free international shipping. This mask is very moisturizing. My skin feels very soft and has a nice glow after using it. The moisture also helps balance my oil production at night so I don’t wake up with a layer of sebum on my face. Luckily, it never caused breakouts. I do have super fine lines on my forehead when my skin is dry. They become less visible after using this product so I definitely think that it can be used as a wrinkle prevention but I am not sure if it can really help with deep wrinkles. I hope that I was able to help you with this review.
