Apple cider vinegar can be used for more than just a salad dressing. You can use it as a natural toner for your skin. Face cleansers can change the natural pH-value of your skin. The acetic acid balance this pH-value and it’s antibacterial properties can help fight inflammation and acne. The alpha-hydroxy-acid (AHA) helps exfoliating your skin so that stubborn bleack heads and white heads can be a thing of the past. If your skin is exfoliated and has the right pH-value your skin will absorb moisturizing products more easily which will make your skin look brighter and smoother.
Ingredients for the toner:
- organic apple cider vinegar (with the mother)
- a small glas jar or plastic bottle
If you have sensitive skin you should start with a lower concentration first. Mix 50ml of water with 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar. If your skin got used to the vinegar and you are dealing with persistent acne, you can switch to a 1:1 mixture. Keep the toner as well as the opened bottle of apple cider vinegar refrigerated. As for all do it yourself products you may want to test the product on your arm first in case of any allergic reactions. Apple cider vinegar is a cheap and natural way to keep your skin clear and supple. I am using this toner for a few weeks now and I am very happy with it. It helps to fight my inflammation whenever I get pimples. Let me know if it worked for you.
