I’m finally back here. It feels so good to be working on my blog again. I’ve been very busy with university but as the semester is coming to an end, I have more time (even though I should be studying for my exams- well, we all know how that usually works out 😀 ). So let’s start with something sweet: Dark chocolate oreo pralines. These are as delicious and easy to make as the ones with white chocolate.
- 14 oreos
- 60ml (2oz) whipping cream
- 200g (7oz) dark chocolate
First you need to separate the cookies from the cream. Form small balls out of the cream and keep them refridgerated. Crush the cookies. You can use a blender or put them inside a zip lock bag and crush them using the flat side of a meat tenderizer. Finely chop 100g/3.5oz of the dark chocolate , heat up the whipping cream and pour over the chocolate. Stir until the chocolate has completely melted. Add the crushed oreos and stir until combinied. Let it cool down for 2 minutes and keep refridgerated for a few minutes. Take out the cream balls and the chocolate mixture. Form small balls out of the chocolate mixture, press flat, place a cream ball inside and roll into a small ball. After you are done, melt the rest of the dark chocolate (water bath or microwave). Dip each ball (with a toothpick or spoon) inside the melted chocolate until it is completely covered. I used some finely chopped white chocolate to decorate them. Put them back on the parchment paper, put them inside the fridge and let them harden. They taste best when served cold. Enjoy!
A special hello to my friend Rike-san who has been patiently waiting for a new post <3
